LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW IN 2010?

Introduction

At St Francis this New Year we are keen to help all of the people of Woodgate Valley with their New Years resolutions. Whether its giving more time voluntarily to help with our youth club or residents group, whether you'd like to be part of our new keep fit program, or whether you'd just like more social events. There is something for you. It'll even look good on your CV.

Read more below on the different ways that you can be involved.

Youth Work

This New Year we are looking to expand our number of volunteers at the St Francis Youth Club. As we develop the project to include many new and different things, now is a better time than ever to come and be a key member of the team. If you have a passion to work with Young People and would like to be a part of the project as it develops, then let us know. There will also be opportunities to go on trips with the Young People. Volunteering at St Francis is subject to enhanced CRB checks.

Residents Group

There has been no residents group on Woodgate Valley for a year or two now. The start of 2010 see's a fresh start for residents, as a new residents group begins the forming process. The ball has already begun rolling, however it is far from too late to find out more about being involved. Being a part of the residents group is open to anyone who is interested.

There are many different ways that you could be involved in the group:

- Organising and leading of community fun events

- Volunteering and helping out at events

- Being on the community forum

For more information about what's involved contact Tom Milton our Community Worker in the office 0121 427 6728 or on his mobile 07875 379 460. We're always looking for new people to be involved so don't hesitate to get in touch.

Health and Fitness

St Francis used to be home to many different health and fitness groups. These included martial arts, fitness, dance, boxing, and many others. We are keen to set new groups up in some of these areas, however we need your support as potential customers. If you are interested in taking part in any of the above, or anything similar, then please drop us an e-mail at enquiries@stfrancis-centre.co.uk and let us know.
