Tom Milton

Centre Development Worker

Tom wears two hats at St Francis. He is employed as both a Community Regeneration professional on the estate, as well as being responsible for running St Francis Centre.

Tom's passion is for helping people move forward in life, both individually and as a community. He is a great believer that to change a community means working together to change individuals lives, whilst still keeping it all within a fixed structure.

Tom originally comes from just south of Bristol where he grew up amidst the greenery of North Somerset, and moved to Birmingham in 2004 to study Geology at Birmingham University. Whilst Tom enjoyed his degree, his passion has always been for working with people. Having worked voluntarily with St John's Church in Harborne he moved to Manage St Francis in December 2008, and later took on the role of Community worker following the departure of Derek Sowton to London.

Tom is still a regular member of St John's in Harborne. He is also a keen guitarist, film enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors. When he gets the time Tom's favourite place is in the countryside, especially if there are mountains. Tom also likes good food, his favourite is a nice Sunday roast.
